In our 4th annual edition, we showcased the resilience of private asset impact funds during a period of global market downturns, with a special regional spotlight on Latin America & the Caribbean.
Key insights:
Market size reached USD 95.3 billion, reflecting +5.9% growth in 2022.
The survey included 83 managers, covering investments across 124 countries.
53 new funds launched in 2023, underscoring continued dynamism despite macroeconomic headwinds.
Private equity strategies overtook debt as the leading asset class, representing 56% of total AUM.
Climate & Energy (23%) and Microfinance (25%) remained core sector allocations, alongside multi-sector approaches.
Impact outcomes were strong: an average of 115,000 end-clients per fund, with outreach concentrated on women (58%) and rural communities (61%).
Environmental impact was significant, with funds achieving an average reduction of 102,000 tons of CO₂ emissions per fund.
